Updates
Storm 2.0 · Cyclone 1.1 · Blitz 1.0.1 — the current release for all three strategies.
No change to how any of the three strategies trade. This release is about setup, settings and reliability.
Storm 2.0Replaces every earlier Storm version
- New: Size Preset. One setting at the top of the Positions group: 2Lot / 3Lot / Custom. 2Lot is the standard configuration (two contracts per trade, targets 60 and 70 points) and the default on a fresh install. 3Lot is the size-up for larger accounts (three contracts, targets 60 / 80 / 85). Picking either one sets every related field for you. Custom keeps whatever you enter. Both configurations have their own results on the site.
- Standard settings built in. A fresh install runs the 2Lot configuration the published results were produced with. No settings to type.
- Settings files included:
Storm.2Lot.Default, Storm.2Lot.Default.MNQ, Storm.3Lot.SizeUp. They go in Documents\NinjaTrader 8\templates\Strategy\Storm_V2_Lite_client\.
- NQ chart, MNQ orders. "Send Orders To = MNQ" reads the NQ chart and places the orders on the micro in the same account, no copier needed. The
.MNQ settings file does it in one step.
Cyclone 1.1Replaces the 1.0 preview build
- Standard settings built in. A fresh add runs the configuration the published ten-contract results were produced with (4 ES contracts per trade). Settings files
C1.Crown (orders on ES) and C1.Crown.MES (ES chart, orders on MES) carry the same values.
- Multi-contract sizing fix for setups with more than one contract per piece.
- Wrong-chart warning now shows on every row. Cyclone only trades a 5-minute ES chart; it always refused other charts, now it says so on screen.
Blitz 1.0.1Replaces 1.0
- Order housekeeping. Any order left over after a trade finishes is now cleaned up by the strategy itself.
- Days-to-load warning is now a large red banner in the middle of the chart. Blitz needs Days to load = 10 on its chart; with less it does not trade, and now you cannot miss the reason.
Installing
- Install the new DLLs.
- Remove your existing strategy rows and add them fresh. A re-enabled old row keeps the settings it was created with and will not pick up the new defaults.
- Storm: load a settings file or pick a preset. Cyclone: load
C1.Crown or C1.Crown.MES. Blitz: the Size and Session presets in the dialog (3-Lot, All Day are the defaults).
- Charts, unchanged: Storm 15-minute NQ, Cyclone 5-minute ES, Blitz 5-minute NQ with Days to load = 10.
